The Marketing Associate is a highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, who can create both well-designed print and digital collateral, and support business pursuits. This individual has great writing and proofreading skills, strategic marketing strategy, can multi-task, and contribute to the creation of property marketing, new business proposals and presentations, service line collateral, and general marketing materials with focus on complete project ownership and management.

The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $55,000 to $65,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through a bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all Canadian locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.

• Provides business pursuit support to brokers by coordinating and implementing proposal strategies that maximize wins
• Provide creative and innovative approaches to marketing programs for various teams
• Manages the RFP response/proposal process; includes go/no go, equipping SMEs, formulating effective responses with a focus on differentiation
• Manage the design and layout of various marketing materials, including but not limited to new business proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral, including service line brochures, property flyers, white papers, invitations, advertisements, and more
• Proofreading and copy writing of reports, proposals, and marketing copy
• Design research materials, including market reports, newsletters, white papers, and other market positioning deliverables
• Collaboration with service line leaders, marketing leaders, communications and thought leaders
• Support our digital marketing programs by becoming a “power-user” of our marketing technology tools, including Mapbox (mapping solutions), Templafy (content enablement program), Bynder (digital asset management), Foleon (web experience software), and other digital tools
• Maintain brand consistency in line with global corporate standards at all times
• Remain abreast of Avison Young’s new technology and innovation initiatives and identity areas of use in the local market; commitment to evolve skills with changing needs
• Participate in the firm’s strategic marketing and communications best practices meetings, conference calls, and strategy sessions

• 2-5 years of experience in marketing or graphic design in a corporate environment
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; and Microsoft Office
• Experience with business proposals and pursuits
• Excellent writing and proofreading
• Email marketing experience
• Proven ability to provide creative marketing solutions upon receiving project brief
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and works effectively both independently and in teams
• Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in commercial real estate considered an asset
